Change of venue for duel WBF title showdown

Colloseum Promotions have announced a change of venue for their April show that features a WBF World title double header. The event will now take place at Paisley’s Lagoon Centre on April 23rd.

The co main events include Nairn native Sandy Robb challenging Liverpool’s Tony Moran for the vacant WBF World Cruiserweight title. Moran who was set to face Roy Jones Jr in Liverpool last summer will now get his promised crack at a version of the World title against the well traveled Robb, who has competed in Canada and Germany in recent years. Both fighters are known to pack a punch giving this contest the possibility of being a shootout.

The other co main event features former Commonwealth champion and current WBU World Light Midldleweight kingpin Craig Docherty who will face a yet unnamed opponent for the WBF World Light Middleweight title. Doc is looking to continue the Indian summer he is having in his career against highly rated opposition on April 23rd.

A fight that has been added to the undercard is Scotland’s Sammy ‘the Bull’ Hill will be taking on Chris Wood for the WBF Inter-Continental Welterweight title. This will give the winner a good ranking with the WBF and will propel them into bigger fights in the second half of 2016.

Tickets for this event are priced at £40 and VIP £55 and are available from all boxers on the bill.
